The Work
About the work
Artist TSG
At first, freedom can feel less like confidence than uncertainty. RUN FREE catches two horses already in motion, their different colours joined by a shared direction. It recalls the moment after a difficult decision, when planning gives way to the first real step: leaving, applying, travelling, or beginning the work you have postponed. The second horse brings companionship into the story. Some changes are easier because someone is moving beside us, even if they cannot make the decision for us. Against the dark ground, their bodies make forward movement feel vivid and attainable.
