The Work
About the work
Artist TSG
She has prepared, worked and waited. Now she enters without rehearsing an apology for being there. HER ARRIVAL uses the broad hat and red-and-black dress to give that change a striking silhouette. Its story may begin with a new role, a first exhibition, a celebration after difficult years, or simply the recovery of confidence. The face remains partly withheld, allowing the posture and clothing to carry the moment. This is the pleasure of dressing for the person you recognise yourself becoming, and allowing the room to meet you on those terms.
Art style: Fashion portrait painting
