The Work
About the work
Artist TSG
A tree divides the face from the burning colour of the sky, creating an image of someone both sheltered and partly hidden. STILL ROOTED speaks to the experience of leaving a familiar life without becoming a stranger to yourself. A new city, a changed relationship or a different profession can make identity feel unsettled. The tree offers continuity through that change. Its presence suggests the habits, people and convictions that remain when circumstances shift. The story does not require standing still; it asks what you choose to carry with you while you grow.
